Preventive, cosmetic and restorative care

Preventive dentistry is the practice of caring for your teeth to keep them healthy. This helps to avoid cavities, gum disease, enamel wear, and more. Our path of prevention begins in your own home. We recommend a nutritious diet accompanied with proper daily oral hygiene. Inside our dental practice, prevention is continued with routine exams, x-rays and cleanings, followed by fluoride treatments, sealants and other preventive services when necessary.

You can say so much with a smile, but your smile says so much about you as well. Using various cosmetic dental care procedures, we can create a smile makeover plan just for you. Drs. Bray and Sommerville are experienced cosmetic dentists who understand how to customize each procedure exactly to fit your needs.

Whether you have experienced damaged, stained or missing teeth, Drs. Bray and Sommerville offer high-quality restoration services, including implants, whitening, crowns and bridges, that will restore function and beauty to your smile.

Advanced dental technologies

  • 3D imaging and Cone Beam CT: Our Planmeca imaging system and CBCT scan take 3-D and digital panoramic images of your mouth. With the CBCT scanner, implant therapy is more predictable and more precise than ever before.
  • Digital x-rays: Digital radiography allows us to take x-rays using up to 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays.
  • Panoramic x-rays: A very broad view of teeth, jaws, sinuses, jaw joints and nasal areas.
  • Digital impressions: We simply scan your teeth to create a digital image, with no uncomfortable traditional impression trays.
  • Same-day crowns (CEREC): Custom ceramic crowns in a single visit.
  • Intraoral cameras: Full-color images on screens in the treatment rooms, so you can see what we see.
  • Laser dentistry: Lasers can reduce pain and minimize use of anesthetic.
  • Electronic apex locator: More accurate root canal treatment.
  • Ultrasonic scaler: More effective removal of hard buildup than hand scaling alone.
  • Oral cancer screening: We perform an oral cancer screening with every exam.
  • Paperless charting, electronic claims, auto appointment reminders and patient education software.

Infection control

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
